Congratulations to MAJOR Kelly Kafeyan
After 19 months of waiting, Kelly officially gets to pin on his new rank! Yay! I'm going shopping now... ;)
Two months down...
It's going by pretty fast. It's weird, on one hand I want the time to go by fast so the deployment will be over and Kelly can come home to us, yet I don't want the kids' lives to go by quickly...
Time is time and it will go by no matter what I guess!

Happy 15th Anniversary!
Fifteen years ago today, I married the greatest man (well maybe BOY at that time, HA!) on earth.
We tried to make the best of it today - we opened our gifts over the phone! It was a blast.
Looking forward to our 16th - we will get to be together
Because Kelly will officially be a Major on June 30th, he got to move to a super cool new room. He now has a suite with a couch, table, and a TV. AND, he doesn't have to share a bathroom anymore. He got all moved in last night, stayed up late and hooked the computers up. Will move in completely after work tomorrow. He no longer works swings (6 pm - 2 am) he works the daytime shift. Volleyball is starting for him July 1st, and since he is working days, he will get to participate.

Swimming Lessons!
Julia and Kenneth started lessons with the Red Cross at the High School pool.
Julia is in the "Tadpoles" class. She amazed me by putting her whole body under the water to retrieve a baton at the bottom. Just a few short months ago, this is the kid who was hysterical when water in the tub got splashed on her face. She is so confident in the water now, and I'm just so proud of her!
Sorry there aren't any pictures IN the pool, but I have to be in the pool for Kenneth's "Mommy and Me" class. Our little guy is doing so well! He loves to float, and since it is only 2 ft deep where he takes lessons, he can stand up! He was practicing kicking today and tossing pool toys to me.
I'm glad they like their classes.

Summer Solstice 2008
Happy summer solstice!!! We celebrated by going to the Organic Stone Fruit Festival in the Clovis countryside. We were able to sample delicious stone fruits such as peaches, apricots, pluots, and plums. A local French bakery provided wonderful pasteries made from the fruits.
The kids enjoyed painting, stringing beads, and were able to grind corn for chickens.
We had a great time, and look forward to attending next year, although we hope it won't be 105+ degrees that day!

Chandler Air Show
We went to the Chandler Air Show this weekend. We got there right at 9 and it was already too hot out on the tarmac. There were a lot of exhibits to take in and there was also a classic car show. The kids got to play in a bouncy castle and play T-Ball. We were there about 2 hours, then I got worried about the kids being so hot so we headed out.
Father's Day 2008
Well, obviously we were missing Kelly tremendously today. However, he was so busy he didn't remember it was Father's Day (or Sunday for that matter) until he saw a giant "Happy Father's Day" cake in the chow hall. Shows what working 7 days a week will do to ya...
Although we were missing daddy today, we were able to visit both grandpas today. After living away for so many years, I was just amazed that my kids have two grandpas that only live 10 minutes from each other and we were actually able to spend Father's Day with BOTH of them.
It was a great day, and another reminder of how amazing Kelly is, as both a father and husband. His daily contributions to our family life are greatly missed. One of my goals when we get him back is to do at better job of letting him know how much I appreciate him.
